Your home is like anything else in your life that you care about — to maintain it, you’ll need to give it a little bit of love every now and again…and stay committed…
But that doesn’t need to feel overwhelming…
At Keystone Properties, we’ve worked with a lot of homeowners who felt overwhelmed by the maintenance of their home — and we get it… sometimes it’s easier to cut ties and start fresh with a new home.
(If you want to do that, give us a call at 561-406-8886. We can buy your home as-is for cash and close in as little as two weeks!)
Regardless, here are some weekly, monthly, and yearly to-do’s for maintaining your home!
Weekly — Vacuum, mow the lawn, clean windows, wipe down kitchen appliances.
Monthly — Replace A/C filters, wipe down drawers and cabinets, clean the drains, replace light bulbs.
Yearly — Trim unruly vegetation, clean out the gutters, touch up paint, clean the siding, clean the chimney, winterize water pipes.
That’s not everything, of course, but it’s a good start.
The best advice we can give you is to pay attention to the state of your home and fix what needs to be fixed as quickly as possible. If things get overwhelming, it might be best to sell your home and rent or purchase a new home that’s more manageable.
Hope that helps!
